What's new in JNapster Version 0.7?

* JNapster lets you connect to multiple Napster servers now. This makes life much 
easier for you when you're desperately looking for some song that nobody seems to 
have. Just hit "Query all" in the Search panel and all the Napster servers that you
are connected to are queried parallely.

* JNapster now handles reverse or firewalled downloading. That means in case you 
want to get some mp3 from somebody who's behind a firewall you can make them
"push" it to you - provided you are not firewalled yourself.

* The "Check Availability" function has been improved. It now works in parallel, so just 
select all the songs you might be interested in and hit that button. It also shows you 
the round trip time for messages from you to the other client and back (for 
non-firewalled other client only).

* Filters have been added to the search. You can now filter for bit rate (KB/s) of the 
mp3 and limit the maximum number of results per server. A filter for line speed has
not been added, since I experienced that most cable or faster connections are 
comparably slow (either because they are overcrowded or because everybody wants
to boast with a T3 connection :) On the other hand, there are now lots of folks with 
"unknown" line speed that turn out to be quite fast. Ping time seems to be a more
reliable means for judging download speed.

* Your settings are now being saved to disk when you change them. You can specify
a path where the downloaded files a getting saved to. Directory chooser has been
added for that.



To be done in the future (list of wishes)


* Sorting search results by clicking on the colums

* Add /finger command to "Check Availability" so you can see how long users are
online already. This can be very useful for those with slow internet access, since 
poeple who have been 15 hours online are much less likely to disconnect while
you are downloading your mp3 than those who connected, say, 15 minutes before.

* Or just add resume function for broken downloads.

* May be add upload capability (even though this seems to be illegal in some 
countries).
