JNapster FAQ Q: I downloaded jnapster but i can't open it. A: You probably tried to double click on it in Windows Explorer. Doesn't work. Sorry, you need a JRE. Download it from: http://java.sun.com/products/jdk/1.2/jre/index.html. Q: I don't have java.exe on my system. Can I run jnapster anyway? A: No, you really gotta download some JRE Q: Help, on a Unix/Linux sytem I don't get any servers to connect to in the Server panel. A: Ooops, thats my fault. Rename "HOSTS" to "hosts" and it should be fixed. Q: How do I start JNapster after I unzipped jnapster.zip? A: For Windows platforms: doubleclick on STARTIT.BAT. If that doesn't work, you'll probably have to adjust the path to your Java Virtual Machine (java.exe) in this file. Other platforms: change to the directory where your class files are and type: java JNapster. Q: The menu item File -> Connect was inactive all the time, so i couldn't connect to any Napster server. What's going on? A: Click on the "Server" button in the first line. You'll see a list of servers. Select one or more of them with your mouse and Strg/Shift keys. Right click. In the menu that pops up click on "Connect". last update: 06/08/00
